          About This Event

          Summary

This EdCert workshop uses 3rd party courseware. Due to licensing restrictions, only technical staff who use the skills taught in their jobs, currently enrolled IU students, and faculty who teach this topic in academic classes are eligible to register for this workshop. You must therefore login before you can register for this workshop.

          This workshop lasts 5 days.

CompTIA Security+ is an international, vendor-neutral certification that demonstrates competency in:

          • Network Security

          • Compliance and operational security

          • Threats and vulnerabilities

          • Application, data and host security

          • Access control and identity management

          • Cryptography

CompTIA Security+ not only ensures that candidates will apply knowledge of security concepts, tools and procedures to react to security incidents, it ensures that security personnel are anticipating security risks and guarding against them.

This EdCert workshop uses courseware licensed from CompTIA. Due to licensing restrictions, though anyone can register for this course, only IU students, staff and faculty are eligible for discounted CompTIA exam vouchers upon completion of the course.

Additionally, since the materials for EdCert workshops are ordered from a 3rd party source, you must register for EdCert workshops 3 business days in advance of the first teach date to guarantee your seat. If you believe you are eligible but are unable to register, or if you have missed the cut off date and would like to register, please contact our IUPUI office.
