          About This Event

          Summary

“Women Creating Excellence at IUPUI: An Online Exhibit” can now be viewed online at http://www.ulib.iupui.edu/womencreatingexcellence. The online exhibit highlights the significant contributions of women to building IUPUI between the years 1969 to the present. Biographies of over 90 women leaders are included as well as photos from the Ruth Lilly Special Collections and articles on the Chancellor’s Spouses, the Women in Science House, the Women’s Philanthropy Institute, the Women’s Studies program and other initiatives that support the advancement of women. A future phase of the project will record the history of those women who helped build the founding institutions of IUPUI prior to 1969. The effort is a joint project of the Office for Women and University Library with funding from the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Nominations were sought from the campus and local community and screened by a campus committee. There is a link on the website to an online form where new nominations may be made. The exhibit will be updated annually.
