Please join us on April 4th for author and environmentalist Dr. Mitchell Thomashow. Formerly serving as president of Unity College in Maine, Dr. Thomashow will explore how he transformed Unity into a nationally recognized institution for its focus on sustainability, and provide a comprehensive template for transforming your own living and learning environment.
A presidential fellow for Second Nature, Dr. Thomashow devotes his life and work to promoting ecological awareness, sustainable living, creative learning, improvisational thinking, social networking, and organizational excellence. He is the author of two influential books, Ecological Identity: Becoming a Reflective Environmentalist (The MIT Press, 1995) and Bringing the Biosphere Home, (The MIT Press, 2001). He is also a Steering Committee Member of the American College & University Presidents Climate Commitment (ACUPCC).
