          About This Event

          Summary

          Tavis Smiley, National Public Radio Talk Show Host

          Join us for an evening with Tavis Smiley to celebrate the transformational work of the IU School of Education at IUPUI. Two School of Education alumni—one teacher and one school principal—will be recognized for their impact on student success in urban schools.

          Tavis will stimulate the audience by addressing his TeachersCount campaign and his work to advance educational success for African American males ("Too Important to Fail").


          WHERE

          This event will be held at the IUPUI Campus Center, Room 450. Visitors may park in the Vermont St. Garage
