The School of Liberal Arts Sabbatical Speaker Series
Professor Jason M. Kelly, History
Fanny Wright and the Enlightenment's Unfinished Revolution
Fanny Wright was a Scottish emigrant who braved the Indiana frontier - a friend to Jefferson and Lafayette - an advocate for feminism, worker's rights, and the abolition of slavery. This is the story of one woman's quest for universal equality in an age of slavery and oppression.
