Preparing Future Faculty & Professionals Fall Conference - My Choice Career November 1-2, 2012 Hyatt Regency Indianapolis

IUPUI Preparing Future Faculty and Professionals Program announces its Fall Conference, My Choice Career, November 1-2, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis.

This two-day conference offers, graduate students, post docs, faculty, industry and community partners an opportunity to learn and interact with peers and colleagues from local and national institutions, corporations and foundations. Topics of panel discussions include The Versatile Degree: Graduate Degrees and Careers in Today’s Economy, The Power of Transferrable Skills and Passion, Transitioning from a professional to faculty or faculty to non-academic positions, Teaching at IUPUI, and the Business of Life Sciences.

Small group and interactive workshops allow participants to craft assessment strategies, prepare for a Postdoctoral position or hone an in-progress proposals. A keynote brunch featuring Dr. J. Michael Durnil, President and CEO of the Simon Youth Foundation, will offer advice and commentary on Professional Transitions and Personal Satisfaction.

Registration is $35 until October 31 and $50 until November 2. Limited Onsite Registration is available. There will be a free shuttle from campus to the Hyatt, and the first 50 registrants will receive a gift.
