The Robert and Dana Curtis Memorial Oratorical Contest honors the memories of the brothers of Dr. Richard K. Curtis, chair emeritus of the Department of Communication Studies. It is the culminating event of the Themed Learning Community class “We Are All in This Together: Understanding Peace and Conflict in Contemporary Society” led by Jaime Hamilton, Aron DiBacco, Erin Engels, and Starla Officer.
This year’s competition is dedicated to the memory of M. Elizabeth (Beth) Curtis, Dr. Curtis’ wife of over 60 years. Beth was an important force in conceiving the elements of this competition and attended all prior contests until last year when illness prevented her participation.
Please join Dr. Curtis and his family for this special evening where students from the Themed Learning Community will demonstrate what they have learned through oratorical performance.
There are no upcoming dates for this event.
