These events are an informal discussion where students can bring up news stories that appear in that day or week’s newspapers.  Democracy Plaza would love to partner with your student organization or your classroom to facilitate a discussion of critical thinking and civil, civic dialogue on some of today’s most difficult ideas and issues as portrayed by the media.  The learning outcomes of these events revolve around the importance of staying informed, the frameworks presented by the media, and the importance of getting involved.  Free coffee & newspaper
