Please join us for a lecture by Classical Studies faculty candidate Isabel Köster based upon her research, entitled:

"Gods, Humans, and the Quest for Justice in the Roman World."


This talk looks at notions of divine punishment in the Roman world. It discusses when and how the Romans expected divine powers to punish and argues that the gods played an integral role in the Roman justice system.
