About This Event

Summary

IUPUI will host 30 students as they compete in the Marion County Regional Spelling Bee on Tuesday March 19. The students competed in and were the top finalists from three district contests in Marion County. The first place winner will earn a trip to Washington D.C. to compete at the National Scripps Spelling Bee in late May.

Registration will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by a practice round at 6:15 p.m. Then, the students will take turns one by one spelling words provided in a guide until a champion is declared. Eric Berman will be the pronouncer.

The Marion County Regional Spelling Bee is sponsored by IUPUI, Kroger and the Rotary Club of Indianapolis.
