The impact of poverty on health and nutrition will be the focus of the Midwest Leaders in Maternal Child Health Nutrition Network conference, “Poverty, Health and Nutrition: Resources for the Under Resourced," from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday, March 15, in Eskenazi Hall (Herron School of Art and Design), Room 101.
The event will include remarks from Lisa Harris, M.D., CEO of Eskenazi Health Services on the scope of poverty in Marion County at 1 p.m.
At 2 p.m., Marie Wiese, MDiv, Coordinator of the Circles® Initiative at The Julian Center, will discuss a program designed to enable people to lift themselves out of poverty. At 3 p.m., participants will hear from New York Times Best Selling Authors and personal finance experts Steve and Annette Economides.
