Jeffrey Runge, M.D., will present grand rounds sponsored by the Department of Emergency Medicine and MESH at 8 to 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, in IU Health Neuroscience Center Auditorium (Goodman Hall, Room 1030).
Dr. Runge was the assistant secretary for health affairs and chief medical officer for the US Department of Homeland Security from 2005 to 2008 and served as the head of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration from 2001 to 2005, during which U.S. had the lowest highway traffic fatality rate in history. He will discuss disaster preparedness and biodefense.
