It is time for a new challenge with NIFS Summer Showdown 2013! This is a performance-based program that will challenge all facets of your fitness. This year’s format of the Showdown is a partner-completed challenge. It will be up to you and your personally chosen comrade to successfully complete the challenge. The NIFS coaches will time you and your partner at the beginning of the program, train you for six weeks, then we will time you again so you can see how much you have improved in 6 short weeks!
Here is how the challenge will work:
There will be five movements in the challenge and you and your partner will complete 100 reps of each movement as fast as you can.
Partner 1 works to 100 reps of the first movement and then does a 200m Run while partner 2 completes a 200m Run and then completes 100 reps of the first movement. Keep moving using the same rotation of exercise/200m Run or 200mRun/exercise.
Score = Time to complete all reps + the number of laps completed
Movements: 100 TRX Racked Rows
100 KB Goblet Squats
100 Val Slide Jackknives
100 Over the Mountain Monster Rope Slams
100 BOSU Hand Release Push-ups
Grab your partner and choose the time you want to train. Sign up for training times will be held June 24 – July 5 and training will take place July 8 – August 16. Sign up sheets will be posted on the board by the service desk.
