NOTE: For those not able to attend on June 26th, this event will be reprised on Wednesday, July 17th.

This half day workshop will have participants exploring ways to implement cyber peer-led learning (cPLTL). Attendees will learn about the essential components of Peer-Led Team Learning and how the approach was "retooled" by a team led by Pratibha Varma-Nelson at IUPUI for the online environment. Furthermore, attendees will experience a mock cPLTL workshop in which they will gain technical skill using Adobe Connect, multiple web cams and microphones. A light lunch will be provided.

cPLTL is the “cyber” evolution of Peer-Led Team Learning (PLTL) to an online format. PLTL is a model of teaching that preserves the lecture and replaces recitation in science courses with a weekly two-hour session. During these interactive sessions (workshops), six to eight students work as a team to solve carefully constructed problems under the guidance of a peer leader.
