The IU Center for Bioethics will present "Protection of Genetic Information in Europe and in France" from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, in the Health Information Translational Sciences (HITS) Building, Room 1130.
The presenter will be Anne-Marie Duguet, M.D., Ph.D, senior lecturer in medicine and law at the Toulouse Purpan (Paul Sabatier University) in Toulous, France, where she teaches medical law and bioethics. Dr. Duguet is also a member of the advisory board of the European Journal of Health Law and the Secretary of the European Association for Health Law.
In 2010, Dr. Duguet was appointed a visiting professor for three years to the Dalian Medical University and the Hainan Medical University in China. In 2011, she was honored by the decoration of "the Palmes Academiques.
Dr. Duguet’s visit is sponsored by the IU Center for Bioethics, the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law and the IU Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health.
