This workshop will introduce the concepts of threads and message passing to harness multiple processors to accomplish a single task. Both a lecture and hands-on lab will be included.
What you'll learn:
To write threads and message passing into simple programs to speed up their execution.
What you need to know
A basic understanding of UNIX or LINUX.
The ability to compile a basic program in that environment.
