          About This Event

          Summary

          Poster abstracts for the Research in Palliative and End-of-Life Communication and Training Center Conference, "Let’s Talk Palliative Care: Improving Care for Seriously Ill Patients and their Families," are due Friday, Jan. 31.

          This conference, hosted by the RESPECT Center at IUPUI, is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4:05 p.m. Friday, March 7, at the Ritz Charles in Carmel, Ind. Health care clinicians and researchers interested in learning more about best practices in palliative and end-of-life care are encouranged to attend.

          At the conclusion of this conference, participants should be able to describe best practices in palliative and hospice care for improving the care of serious ill patients and their families; discuss strategies to improve communications for seriously ill patients and their families; and identify how new legislation effects the practice of palliative care.
