Timothy Kern, Ph.D., will present the inaugural session of the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Eye Institute Basic and Translation Research Seminar Series from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, in the VanNuys Medical Science Building, Room 326.

Dr. Kern, professor of ophthalmology and pharmacology, and director of the Center for Diabetes Research at Case Western Reserve University, will present "Photoreceptors, leukocytes, light and the development of diabetic retinopathy."
