This film fest starts with the "Friday Night Picture Show" - a night of Film and Fine Art. This event will include live jazz, cash bars, an award ceremony recognizing the top 3 filmmakers and the IMAX premier of the top 3 films. Activist, author and filmmaker, Molly Secours, addresses the hushed tones and exposes the "code talk" often used in discussions of racism. Secours illustrates how avoiding meaningful racial discussions only furthers the divide between whites and non-whites, which maintains the benefits and injustices of "white privilege". » Read More
Join writers, activists, artists, and musicians from our community to celebrate women's creativity around the world. Free food, music, readings, and more! The festivities will open with a reception at 6:30 p.m. and conclude with a multicultural open mic session.
