Iran's Manouchehr Hosseinzadeh, investigative journalist, has covered the Sinai War between Egypt and Israel, the Iran and Iraq war, and the Shir-Shati operation in Oman. More recently, he has been actively researching novel media strategies for moving beyond the supposed 'Clash of Civilizations' and the growing global religious divides. The focus of this presentation is the historical tapestry of Shi'as in the Middle East and its implication for the crisis in Iraq and the US war on terror.
