Fri. 9/22 - Sun. 9/24: Indianapolis Middle Eastern Festival

This annual celebration of Middle Eastern culture will feature a live band, dancing, cultural displays, cooking demonstrations, children's games, a silent auction and tours of the church. Air-conditioned indoor shopping will feature Middle Eastern jewelry, groceries, icons, books, CDs, cookbooks and gift items. » Read More

Indiana University President Adam W. Herbert will deliver his State of the University address in the auditorium of the University Place Conference Center at IUPUI. The speech is open to the public. A reception will follow. » Read More

Tue. 9/26: No Turning Back film screening and discussion

Presented by actor/director Jesus Nebot. Mr. Nebot writes and directs an award winning feature film about the choices of an illegal immigrant to the United States. Experience the moral dilemma that this immigrant as he faces dramatic circumstances that challenge our notion of the American Dream. Following the viewing of this film, Mr. Nebot will host a discussion with students on its message. » Read More

Thu. 9/28: Women in Politics panel and Voter Registration

Join us for a panel discussion with Professors from Communication Studies, Political Science, and SPEA as they discuss the role of women in politics. Each panelist will rely on their own research and published works to spark a discussion about the political climate for women in 2006. Lunch will be served and students, faculty and staff are encouraged to stop by to register to vote in the upcoming fall election. » Read More
